Tucker defines what rescue truly is about, which is helping the dogs that really need our help! Tucker's story will break your heart! Upon meeting Tucker we cried. Tucker is one of our saddest cases. We have had many sad stories at DRI but Tucker's is different. Tucker is 9 years old. He was found as a stray. Tucker is blind. At the shelter they removed one of his eyes due to glaucoma. If his eyes would have been treated its likely Tucker wouldn't have gone blind in the first place, let alone have to have an eye removed! We highly suspect Tucker was also a bait dog. He has multiple scars on his body, pieces of his ears missing and patches of hair loss. Unfortunately Tucker would make a great bait dog for the sick person who did this to him. He is blind so could not fight back and see when he was going to be attacked. The saddest part of this all is Tucker JUST wants love! Thats all! He gave us kisses upon meeting us. Tucker will be on medication for his eye. He is on pain meds and antibiotics. He was also UTD on shots and neutered. We are hoping and praying for Tuckers sake that he finds a home where he can live out his life in the safety of his forever families home. Tucker would just love to be someone specials companion and special friend. He has not had one accident. Please pray for Tucker that he has a safe and healthy recovery!
