10 year-old Senior boy Gotti lived with his best friend the basset hound his entire life until his dad was suddenly killed in an auto accident and his mom who had Alzheimer's went to a nursing home. Although all efforts were made to keep them together they were finally split up with Gotti being sent to a foster home with NCDR. At first he was timid setting with his head down in the corner of the living room he was finally won over and now is attached at the hip to his foster mom. Gotti may be 10 but he is full of life and energy, always the first at the door when someone goes for the leashes. He does well with the other dogs in his foster home and is ready to receive head and neck rubs whenever someone is available.
