Rusty's situation is urgent, because Atlanta Pet Rescue has no space for him, so he is staying with a shelter employee in a temporary capacity.

Rusty is a sweet and mild-tempered Dobe who was found abandoned in an Atlanta park and brought to Atlanta Pet Rescue. His fur was ratty and he was heartworm positive. He is currently on heartworm medication, he has been neutered, and his coat is slowly recovering. Rusty is between 7-9 years old, red/tan, cropped, and docked. He is very gentle and has the classic Doberman-lean that we Dobe people are quite familiar with. In fact, Atlanta Pet Rescue personnel are having a hard time taking a good picture of him, because he keeps walking over to the person with the camera and leans on them!

Contact Information: Please contact Judy Price at Atlanta Pet Rescue by e-mail at judy@atlantapetrescue.org, or by phone at 770-351-7377. Their website is: www.atlantapetrescue.org.

The Sponsor A Senior program helps Seniors by raising funds for their rescue programs. This helps offset some of the additional costs that come with caring for a senior (diet, medications, supplements, etc.). Please read more about this program on the Sponsor A Senior page.

We're happy to let you know that Rusty has been sponsored by the Desert Valley Doberman Pinscher Club through February, 2007! Thanks so much!
